Not accept things as they are…

but to understand it, to go into it, examine it,

give your heart and your mind with every thing that you have to find out.

A way of living differently.

But that depends on you and not somebody else.

Because in this there is no teacher, no pupil.

There's no leader, there is no guru, there's no master, no savior.

You yourself are the teacher, and the pupil, you're the master, you're the guru, you are the leader…

You are everything!

"You must understand it, go into it, examine it, give your heart and your mind, with everything that you have, to find out a way of living differently. That depends on you, and not on someone else, because in this there is no teacher, no pupil; there is no leader; there is no guru; there is no Master, no Saviour. You yourself are the teacher and the pupil; you are the Master; you are the guru; you are the leader; you are everything.

Você deve entendê-lo, entrar nele, examiná-lo, dar o seu coração e sua mente, com tudo o que você tem, para descobrir uma maneira de viver de forma diferente. Isso depende de você, e não em outra pessoa, porque neste não há nenhum professor, nenhum aluno, não há líder, não há guru, não existe nenhum Mestre, nenhum Salvador. Você mesmo é o professor e o aluno, você é o Mestre; você é o guru, você é o líder, você é tudo.

You yourself have to be the master and the pupil. The moment you acknowledge another as a master and yourself as a pupil, you are denying truth. There is no master, no pupil, in the search for truth.

Você mesmo tem que ser o mestre e o aluno. No momento em que você reconhece o outro como um mestre e de si mesmo como um aluno, você está negando a verdade. Não há nenhum mestre, nenhum aluno, na busca da verdade.

Understanding is NOW, not tomorrow. Tomorrow is for the lazy mind, the sluggish mind, the mind that is not interested . . . the change that takes place tomorrow is merely a modification, it is not a transformation. Transformation can only take place immediately; the revolution is NOW, not tomorrow.

Entendimento é AGORA, não amanhã. Amanhã é para a mente preguiçosa, a mente lenta, a mente que não está interessado... a mudança que ocorre amanhã é apenas uma modificação, não é uma transformação. Transformação só pode ocorrer imediatamente, a revolução é agora, não amanhã.

Everything about us, within as well as without - our relationships, our thoughts, our feelings - is impermanent in a constant state of flux. Being aware of this, the mind craves permanency, a perpetual state of peace, of love, of goodness, a security that neither time nor events can destroy; therefore it creates the soul, the Atman, and the visions of a permanent paradise. But this permanency is born of impermanency, and so it has within it the seeds of the impermanent. There is only one fact impermanence.

Tudo sobre nós, tanto dentro como fora - nossos relacionamentos, nossos pensamentos, nossos sentimentos - é impermanente em um constante estado de fluxo. Ciente disto, a mente anseia por permanência, um perpétuo estado de paz, de amor, de bondade, um título que nem o tempo nem os eventos podem destruir, por isso ele cria a alma, o Atman, e as visões de um paraíso permanente. Mas esta permanência é nascida de impermanência, e assim que tem dentro de si as sementes do impermanente. Há apenas um fato a impermanência.

Sensations give rise to craving.

If sensations cease, craving ceases.

When craving ceases, suffering ceases.

Sensações dão origem ao desejo.

Se as sensações cessarem, o desejo cessa.

Quando cessa o desejo, o sofrimento cessa.

If you are very clear, if you are inwardly a light unto yourself, you will never follow anyone.

Se você está  bem compreendido, se você tiver interiormente uma luz para si mesmo, você nunca vai seguir ninguém.

Freedom and love go together. Love is not a reaction... To love is not to ask anything in return, not even to feel that you are giving something - and it is only such love that can know freedom.
